Nataal / 3

€25.00Prezzo

Nataal’s third print issue sees our global community of contributors explore what ‘beauty’ means to them. Whether it’s an attitude, a point of view, a sense of inner confidence, an expression of identity, or simply the power that comes with a slick of red lipstick, beauty can be experienced in myriad ways. And we’re here for all of that.

Interviews include cover stars Moses Sumney and Ibeyi plus Obongjayar, Flowerovlove and Cassi Namoda as well as conversations with Ekow Eshun, Selly Raby Kane and Sunny Dolat.

We have personal work from Njaheut Gilles Valer and Lisandro Suriel, encounters with Joburg’s beauty disruptors, an op-ed by Lowkey and a deep dive into the metaverse.

Visual and fashion stories span five continents courtesy of Malick Bodian, Ekua King, Kenny Germé, Axle Jozeph, Stephen Tayo, Kristin-Lee Moolman,  Gleeson Paulino, Olga de la Iglesia, Delali Ayivi, Nick van Tiem, Stig de Block, Stéphane Gaboué, Michelle Marshall, Alice Mann, Kader Diaby and Ahmed Chrediy.

This issue is also a special collaboration with the V&A museum for its landmark show, Africa Fashion, which charts style on the continent from the independence era to the present day. Our dedicated end section profiles some of the most vital next generation designers, photographers and artists taking African creativity forward. Its centrepiece is Who Dey Shake, a film by Lakin Ogunbanwo that now screens as part of the exhibition.
