Dune / Vol.3 #2

The sixth issue of Dune focuses on the work of Francesca Alinovi (1948-1983), a key figure in the national and international post-punk art scene. Alinovi, a tireless traveller between Italy and the United States, recognised and accompanied emerging artistic phenomena, uniting geographies as distant as Bologna and New York. Thanks to her charisma and transdisciplinary nature, she has contributed to events, exhibitions and texts, collaborating with different artistic fields. This issue incorporates the proceedings of a symposium that aims to historicise and simultaneously update Francesca Alinovi's critical contribution, tracing a path from the late 1970s to the present day. The symposium, held at the MAXXI - Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo in Rome, was conceived and realised in collaboration with the Fondazione In Between Art Film.
