Il volume accoglie l’omonimo progetto pluriennale di Andrea Aversa. La ricerca dell’artista romano prende qui la forma di una cronologia in cui alcune date legate al Ventennio dialogano con le opere dell’artista: installazioni, fotografie, collages, sculture e workshop riflettono alcuni dei modi in cui una memoria collettiva si forma, volendo rispondere non solo all’esigenza di ‘non scordare’ la catastrofe del fascismo, ma riflettendo anche sui modi in cui essa é oggi ricordata, vissuta e rievocata. Il libro si apre con l’ultimo capitolo dell’autobiografia di Benito Mussolini, ‘En Route’, come fu pubblicato negli Stati Uniti nel 1928 sulle pagine del Saturday Evening Post. La foto di corredo all’articolo é modificata dall’artista attraverso un collage. Alla già citata cronologia si aggiungono infine i contributi critici di Luca Acquarelli, professore associato presso l’Università di Lille 3, membro del centro di studi e di ricerca Geriico e ricercatore associato presso il CEHTA (EHESS), di Valentina Angeleri, editrice di Archium e fondatrice di DATA - Sharing Archives, e di Guido Panvini, storico e Marie Curie Fellow presso l’Università Science Po di Parigi.

The issue features the homonym and long-time project by Andrea Aversa. The research of the Roman artist takes here the shape of a chronology in which some historical dates related to the fascist period dia- logue with the works by the artist: installations, photos, collages, sculptures and workshops consider some of the ways in which a collective memory takes form, trying to give an answer not only to the need to remember the catastrophe of fascism but also con- sidering how this is remembered, experienced and recalled to- day. The book opens with the last chapter of the autobiography of Benito Mussolini, ‘En Route’, as it was published in the United States in 1928 on the pages of the Saturday Evening Post. The picture accompanying the article was modified by the artist us- ing the collage technique. Finally, in addition to the already cited chronology, there are the critical contributions of Luca Acquarelli, associate professor at the University of Lille 3, member of the re- search laboratory Geriico and associate research fellow at CEHTA (EHESS), Valentina Angeleri, editor of Archium and founder of DATA - Sharing Archives, and Guido Panvini, historian and Marie Curie fellow at the University of Paris, Science Po.
For the occasion the artist will present the performance-lecture 'Andromaca Pop'.
